Any time I think of my writing being rejected I become so afraid? Why is that? I fear people telling me that my writing is not good, or even worse, boring. I desire that people enjoy what I spend time writing. I'm sure every creator has the same wishes for their works.
At the same time I always fear that people will tell me that my writing is good when they don't really think it is. Whether you are an experience writer or a beginner (like me), don't underestimate the power of your work or fear to much direction from others. For a long time I wouldn't show my stories to other people because I was afraid of the criticism I would get. But now I have learned that though I don't like it, criticism can be good.
So keep your eye open for experience people who can give you advice. Learn to accept criticism and don't let the fear of reaction hold you back.

ReplyDeleteGood thoughts here! I like when you say "criticism can be good." You are right sometimes criticism is painful and difficult to hear, but often it is criticism that helps us to do our very best work.
Keep writing - I love what you're doing here!!
